About me

The only TCI-Certified Colour Analyst in Southern Tasmania

The only TCI-Certified Colour Analyst in Southern Tasmania

I'm Lisa Matthews, founder of Your Colour Code.

Colour analysis changed the way I saw myself over 15 years ago, and it's shaped the work I do today.

With a career spanning policy, education, advocacy and disabilities, I'm now focused on helping people feel visible, confident, and at ease in their own skin - through colour.

I am a certified colour analyst trained in a professional, precision-based analysis system.

I am the only True Colour International (TCI) certified colour analyst in Southern Tasmania.

This isn't trend-based or subjective styling - each analysis is evidence-led, personalised, and designed to be used confidently in real life.

Everything you need to know about Colour Analysis

What is colour analysis?

What is colour analysis?

Colour analysis looks at how your natural colouring interacts with colour.

When you wear colours that harmonise with your skin's undertone and depth, you look clearer, healthier and more balanced.

It's not about fashion - it's about harmony.

What is colour analysis?

Colour analysis is for anyone who wants ease and confidence in getting dressed.

It's especially helpful if you've felt overwhelmed by choice, inconsistent advice, or unsure of what truly suits you.

There's no age, gender or style "type" required.

A personal colour analysis for 1 person is $295 (no GST) and takes around 1.5 to 2 hours.

A duo session for 2 people is $500 and takes around 3 to 3.5 hours, allowing time for each person's individual analysis.

All sessions are fully guided, unhurried, and focused on accuracy and understanding.

Can I share the experience with family or friends?

You'll leave with a clear understanding of your personal colour range.

You'll also receive printed, practical guides and a physical colour palette swatch (pictured) designed to support you long after your session.

Everything is easy to refer back to - for clothes, make-up and accessory shopping, wardrobe planning, and decision-making with confidence.

Can I share the experience with family or friends?

Yes - shared sessions are available for pairs, such as partners, friends, family or colleagues.

To maintain the accuracy and depth of the analysis, sessions are limited to a maximum of 2 people at a time.

This ensures each person receives the focus and care they deserve without feeling hurried.

A word about precision analysis

Precision matters in colour analysis.

Small differences in undertone or depth can change how a colour behaves on your skin, which is why careful observation and experience are essential.

If there is any doubt about where you sit tonally, I'll take an additional 24-48 hours to reflect, review and confirm your result. This ensures your result is accurate and trustworthy.

Why I only do in-person analysis

Why I only do in-person analysis

Why I only do in-person analysis

True and accurate colour analysis relies on seeing colour interact with your skin in real time.

AI can attempt to guess your colours - often getting it wrong.

But colour analysis isn't just data, it's movement, light, texture, presence. It's watching your face transform in real time.

In-person analysis ensures accuracy, confidence and a great experience.

About the 12 TCI seasonal tones

Why I only do in-person analysis

Why I only do in-person analysis

The 12-season TCI system builds on the 4 traditional colour seasons - Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.

Each season is divided into 3 distinct tonal variations based on hue, chroma and value, allowing for greater nuance and accuracy.

This approach recognises that not everyone fits neatly into a single broad season and ensures a palette that feels precise and personalised.
